QuestionIcon Question: What if I can't find an appropriate category?
AnswerIcon Answer: Due to demand, category lists do change from time to time. Either the category is moved or discontinued or renamed to be user-friendlier.

Should you, at first glance, not be able to find your category, do a complete search for other similar or identical items to which you are selling. When the search results show, browse a few of the listings to see what categories those items are placed in. You can also suggest a category to be listed on SizeXchange.com via sending us a message through our 'ask a question' facility.

QuestionIcon Question: How do I choose the correct category to list an item on?
AnswerIcon Answer: When Xchanging an item, you should choose an appropriate category/subcategory in Category section of the Xchange (Sell) Your Item form.

To assist with this choice it is recommended that you research pre-existing transaction items, similar to what you want to post for xchange, before listing. This can help chose the best category for listing.

Based on the category and subcategory that you choose when listing an item a recommended starting bid and reserve price will be automatically populated for the item.

Other Helpful Tips:

Think with imagination about the item. Example: if you thought it belonged in Pants it could fit better under Outfits (i.e. if it is a pants/jacket set). Look at several possible categories.

Search for items on SizeXchange.com that are close to yours and take note of which categories they are listed in. Try several key words. Search to find particular active categories.

Make sure your category is specific to your item. This helps potential grabbers to find your item and determines what the automatic starting bid is going to be for that particular item.
